WASHINGTON, D.C. — The members of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated are mourning the passing of Danielle Brown, the organization’s 26th National President, whose years of dedicated service and transformative leadership left a lasting legacy across the nation. Her death was announced by the Southeastern Region of Jack and Jill of America, which honored her life of service while extending condolences to her family, friends, and the many members she inspired.

A Legacy of Leadership

A legacy member of Jack and Jill of America, Brown began her journey with the Alexandria Mount Vernon Chapter before later joining the Loudoun County Chapter in Virginia. She held numerous leadership positions, including Chapter President and Vice President, and was recognized for establishing the chapter’s Beautillion/Cotillion program, an initiative focused on youth development and leadership.

Brown rose through national leadership ranks, serving as Eastern Region Member at Large (2014–2016) and National Vice President (2016–2018) before being elected National President during the 43rd National Convention in Kansas City, Missouri. She led the organization from 2018 to 2020, guiding members through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Transformative Achievements

During her presidency, Brown oversaw Jack and Jill’s first virtual National Convention and expanded educational programs, community outreach, and strategic partnerships. Her leadership helped launch the JJ Close the GAP College Fund and strengthen collaborations with organizations including the American Red Cross, March of Dimes, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the US Open, National Grocers, Dove, and the Crown Coalition.

She also championed initiatives such as:

  • Digital Cheetah platform implementation
  • The inaugural Father’s Auxiliary Retreat
  • Expansion of the Jacks in the House Morehouse partnership
  • The international “We Are Kings and Queens Cultural Exchange” program

Outside of Jack and Jill, Brown remained actively engaged in community service.
