UPPER UWCHLAN TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The community is mourning the tragic death of Sean O’Connor, who lost his life at Marsh Creek State Park during the Fourth of July weekend following severe storms that swept through the area.
Incident Details
Authorities confirmed that the incident occurred on Saturday, July 4, 2026, shortly after 8 p.m. as dangerous weather conditions moved through the region. Emergency crews launched a search and rescue operation from the west boat ramp, involving multiple boats, local fire departments, and personnel from the Pennsylvania DCNR.
O’Connor’s body was located shortly after midnight. The Chester County Coroner’s Office has not yet released an official cause or manner of death, and the investigation remains ongoing.
